If your robot does not recognize its docking station during an approach, you must recalibrate the Park Assist feature.
1. Enable Park Assist
Before calibrating, we must enable the Park Assist property for your robot.
- Click the Support button to request that Assisted Parking be enabled.
- Include your robot name or serial ID in the request.
- Wait for confirmation from a Support Representative before proceeding.
2. Calibrate the system
Once you receive confirmation that your system is ready, follow these steps:
- Connect to the problematic system using the Awabot App.
- Position the robot directly in front of the dock, facing it. Leave approximately one foot of space between the robot and the front edge of the dock.
- Press and hold the F7 key. The robot will perform a 360° spin to scan its surroundings.
- Verify the scan: If successful, a green line will appear on your screen outlining the docking station.
- Test the feature: Press and hold the P key on your keyboard to ensure the robot docks automatically.
3. Final steps
- Confirm completion: Reply to your Support Representative to confirm the calibration is successful.
- Report errors: If the green line does not appear or the robot fails to dock, notify the representative of the specific error.
