If you encounter a "Connecting" status followed by a timeout or disconnection after 10 seconds, your network firewall is likely blocking essential communication. To establish a successful video and audio connection, UDP ports 6868-6871 must be open on both the user and robot networks.
Check if UDP ports are open
Use the built-in diagnostic tool to test your network's compatibility:
- Launch the Awabot App.
- Click Help in the top-left menu.
- Select Diagnostics from the sidebar.
- (Optional) Select the closest relay from the drop-down menu (e.g., ap-northeast-1.rl).
- Click Add in the top-right corner.
- Select Specify local port and type 6868 into the text field.
- Click Start.
Note: If the port is open, you will see green progress bars next to the relay IP address. If the test fails, these ports are being blocked by your firewall.
How to open UDP ports
If your diagnostics indicate that ports are blocked, you must request that UDP ports 6868-6871 be opened to allow traffic to our infrastructure:
- In an office environment: Contact your IT department or network administrator.
- In a home environment: Check your router, firewall, or security software to ensure the required ports are opened. If needed, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance with router settings.
