Session answer is a feature that requires a person at the physical location to manually accept an incoming call. When this feature is active, the robot rings and displays the user's email address on the screen during the connection attempt. Unlike most hardware settings, session answer is managed at the user level rather than the robot level.
How to use session answer
- To accept a call: Shake the robot’s head when it rings.
- To decline a call: Do nothing. The call will eventually time out.
Enable session answer
Note: You must have administrator privileges to require session answer for specific users or user groups.
- Log into your account to access the My Awabot platform.
- Select the Robots tab from the main menu.
- Select the robot group the user(s) can access.
- Click Access Times from the section menu.
- Select the desired user or user group from the Members list.
- Mark the Require Session Answer checkbox.
- Click Create to save the new access rules.
Note: Access rules for all members will override user-specific settings. Ensure your access hierarchy is configured correctly to prevent unintended overrides.
