Assisted driving is an optional safety feature for Awabot Pro robot that helps avoid collisions.
How it works
The LiDAR sensor detects objects ~7 inches off the ground within a 6-foot range. The system automatically reduces speed as you approach an obstacle.
Important limitations
- Blind spots: LiDAR cannot detect objects behind the robot when moving in reverse.
- Detection gaps: Objects suspended from walls/ceilings or drops like stairs/ramps may not be detected.
Note: Always manually monitor your surroundings; AD does not replace attentive driving.
