To ensure an optimal experience with your robot, please verify that your network meets the following technical requirements.
Internet connectivity
- Bandwidth: You must have a broadband connection with at least 1Mbps upload and download speed per robot.
- Recommended bandwidth: For the best audio and video quality, we recommend 3Mbps upload and download.
- Ports: Your network must allow outgoing and return UDP traffic on ports 6868-6871.
- IP addressing: Your router must have DHCP enabled, or you must provide a separate DHCP server for enterprise installations.
Wi-Fi specifications
- Frequency: We highly recommend using a 5GHz wireless system.
Note: While 2.4GHz is supported, it is not recommended due to potential device interference.
- Security: We support WEP, WPA, WPA/WPA2 Personal, and select versions of WPA/WPA2 Enterprise.
Charging dock requirements
- Power: Docks require access to a grounded electrical outlet (120v/220v/240v).
- Awabot Pro: Requires a 2-foot square area of clear floor space.
- Awabot One: Requires a 1.5-foot square area of clear floor space.
Computer requirements
Any computer used to control a robot must meet these minimum specifications:
- Operating system: Windows 7 or higher; macOS 10.9 or higher.
- Processor: Intel i3 2GHz or higher.
- Memory: At least 2 GB of RAM.
- Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible (Windows) or OpenGL 2.0 compatible (Mac).
- Peripherals: A mouse and keyboard (wired recommended); external speakers or headphones.
