To ensure optimal performance, keep your robot and its dock clean and free of dust. We recommend performing these maintenance steps weekly or as needed.
Dusting the robot
- Guide the robot off of the charging dock.
- Power down your robot system.
- Use a soft microfiber cloth to dust all robot and dock surfaces.
Cleaning charging contacts
Accumulated debris on contacts can interfere with charging.
- Guide the robot off of the charging dock.
- Power down your robot system.
- Disconnect the charging dock from the power source.
- Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the metal charging contacts on both the dock and the robot.
Sanitizing the robot
- Guide the robot off of the charging dock.
- Power down your robot system.
- Disconnect the charging dock from the power source.
- Wipe the surface areas using a lightly moistened germicidal disposable wipe.
- Allow the system to dry completely before pressing the Power button to reboot.
Note: Disinfectant wipes should be used sparingly, and they must be only slightly damp.
UV disinfection
While UV light is effective for sanitization, we have not yet tested the long-term effects of UV exposure on the robot’s hardware durability. Use UV disinfection methods at your own discretion.
