Awabot Pro robot - Battery replacement

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the battery in your Awabot Pro robot.

Required tools

• Wire cutters
• Heavy duty suction cup
• Zip tie

1. Power down the robot using the power button at the back of the base.
2. Using the notch at the back of the base lid, lift to separate the lid from its base.
3. Disconnect the battery cable connector from the MCB (motor controller board).
4. Using wire cutters or scissors, carefully cut the tie wrap positioning the battery cable.
5. Remove 3x wing nuts and washers from the top of the battery casing.
6. Lift the battery out of the pocket. Consider using a heavy duty suction cup tool.
7. Ensure the battery cable is tucked safely out of the way prior to setting the new battery.
8. Place the new battery into the pocket.
9. Align the battery casing and reattach washers and wing nuts.
10. Connect the battery cable to the motor controller board.
11. Using a zip tie, secure the battery cable to the post.
12. Reattach the base lid. Be sure to reconnect any cables that may have been disconnected or loosened throughout the replacement process.
13. Power on the robot using the power button at the back of the base.
