Before you begin, make sure an administrator has granted you user rights. You must either:
- Have received an email to set up your password;
- Have received anonymized credentials.
Downloading the app and logging in
- Download and install the Awabot App corresponding to your operating system.
- Open the app and enter your username and password.
- Select the robot from the list and click Connect.
Connection interface
Your screen displays three views: a main camera, a navigation camera, and your webcam feed. Use the toolbar to manage your session:
- Click the Microphone icon to mute or unmute your audio.
- Use the slider to adjust your microphone volume.
- Click the Full Screen icon to enlarge your view.
- Click Disconnect to end your session.
Driving the robot
- Use the up, down, left, and right arrow keys on your keyboard to move.
- You can also use your mouse or trackpad to navigate.
Note: The robot is not waterproof and does not detect obstacles or stairs. You must ask for assistance to use ramps or elevators. If you get stuck due to a poor connection or crowded hallways, ask someone to physically push the robot backwards.
Disconnecting and recharging
- Drive the robot back to its charging dock.
- Follow the instructions as you approach the dock.
- Click Disconnect to close the application.
