Storing and shutting down your Awabot One robot

The Awabot One robot is designed to remain powered on at all times. If you need to store your robot, follow these guidelines to maintain battery health and ensure a smooth restart.  

Storage guidelines

• Short-term (up to 3 months): You can safely store your Awabot One robot after performing a graceful shutdown.
• Long-term (6+ months): We recommend periodically charge cycling the Awabot One robot.

Note: Storing an Awabot One robot for more than 3 months without recharging may cause irreversible battery issues.

Shutdown instructions

1. Guide the robot off the charging dock.
2. Insert a USB keyboard into the robot.
3. Navigate to the Robot Settings screen.
4. Select Tools > Power > Shutdown.
5. Remove the keyboard once the process begins.
6. Allow the robot to power down completely before moving it to storage.
