Awabot Pro robot - Preparing the robot for events

If you plan on using your Awabot Pro robot at a hotel or convention center, coordinate with the venue's IT team in advance.

Network requirements

• Bandwidth: 3 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download.
• WiFi: A 5 GHz network is strongly recommended for high-traffic areas.
• Firewall: Open UDP ports 6868 thru 6871.

Bypassing captive portals

Event WiFi often uses a captive portal (login page). To bypass this, provide the venue IT team with your robot's MAC address to be whitelisted:

1. Connect a USB keyboard to the robot.
2. Navigate to Robot Settings > About.
3. Provide the MAC addresses listed for WiFi #1 and WiFi #2.

Connecting through captive portals

If bypassing is impossible, you will need to go through the captive portal.

Note: Connection time may be limited to a few hours, requiring the procedure to be repeated.
